44th Street, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

Tree: Jones Tree
Notes: 1872 Hopkins Pittsburgh atlas shows:

"E. F. Pearson" owned a house near the northwest corner of the intersection of 44th Street & Davison Street. 1906 Hopkins atlas shows this house was located at about 258 44th Street (owned in 1906 by Mary S. McElhaney).

Going north towards Butler was a house owned by "J. M. Pearson." 1906 atlas shows this house was located at about 256 44th Street (owned in 1906 by R. R. Latimer).

The next house going towards Butler was a house owned by "G. W. Bollman" [husband of Mary Florence Pearson]. 1906 atlas shows this house was located at about 248 44th Street (owned in 1906 by M. A. Carmody). The next house going towards Butler on the 1872 atlas was owned by "Geo. W. Bollman" also and the 1906 atlas shows this house was located at about 242 44th Street (owned in 1906 by Mrs. A. Mitchell).

1906 atlas shows a "Pearson Alley" running just north of this area across what is now the Holy Family Church parking lot. Just north of that is Summit Street. None of the houses on the 1906 map numbered 242-256 are still standing. This is where the church and church parking lot are now. The 1906 map shows 258 is part of a group of 5 row houses going towards Davison Street and those are still there, but appear newer than 1870s construction so none of the Pearson family houses on 44th Street survive in 2008.
