    Notes:

I found the following deed in the Allegheny County Index of Grantees:

    Joseph Pearson, Book 28, page 434 (1821)

    Immigration:
Estate Settlement of Louise M. Green implies Joseph immigrated after 1813. Son Richard was born in England abt 1815 so Joseph probably immigrated after that.

[Headstones were illegible, but cemetery records imply they read as indicated above.]

Joseph married Harriet Rogers Bef 1810. Harriet was born 1793/94; died 28 Jan 1823, probably Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; was buried 24 Apr 1853, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. [Group Sheet]

  2. 9.  Harriet Rogers was born 1793/94; died 28 Jan 1823, probably Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; was buried 24 Apr 1853, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

[Headstone was illegible, but cemetery records imply it read as stated above.]

    Cemetery records show:

Burial No. Grave No. Name Date
    2733 3 John Pearson (4/24/53) Removal
    2732 3 Mother (Harriet Pearson) 1/28/23

Although the dates listed in the cemetery records on this part of the page indicate burial dates, a burial in 1823 predates Allegheny Cemetery's inception. Was John buried on 24 Apr 1853 and his mother's remains moved from a previous burial location on that day and reburied in this plot? It's not clear what the word Removal means or whether it refers to John or Harriet, as it is written sideways and might refer to either one. Perhaps John was buried here in 1853, but later removed to a different location, perhaps to be with his surviving wife and children? I find no John Pearson in Allegheny County in the 1850 US Census old enough to be a son of Harriet.

    Notes:

John Pearson, who was buried 24 Apr 1853 in the same plot as Joseph Pearson, may also be a child of this family. I'm not sure how he is related. He was also apparently removed from the burial plot and moved elsewhere (see notes about his burial on his page).

    Children:
    1. Henry Pearson was born 1810, England; died Bef 1815.
    2. Fred Pearson was born 1811, England; died Bef 1815.
    3. Harriet Pearson was born 1813, England; died Bef 1815.
    4. 4. Richard A. Pearson was born Abt 1815, England; died 1884, probably Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; was buried 1884, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
    5. Caroline Pearson was born Abt 1822, Pennsylvania; died Bef 1880.
